Overview
The concept behind MarketStand was straightforward: to create a platform where Nigerians can purchase local food and vegetables from nearby markets. The inspiration came from the personal experience of how tedious and time-consuming weekly market trips for groceries can be. It aims to simplify shopping and support local traders by connecting them directly with consumers.

Research and ideation
To begin, I conducted user research to understand issues in food and grocery shopping, targeting groups such as students and working professionals. Using these insights, I created user personas, defined a problem statement, and ideated solutions to it. Then, I crafted out user flows and wireframes, focusing on local market discovery, an easy-to-navigate marketplace and the checkout process.
Crafting a visual identity
I worked on designing a cohesive visual identity and brand that conveyed freshness, reliability, and convenience and I achieved this by crafting a vibrant colour palette and using clear typography and illustrations.
